A bit of history

Created in 1866 by and for Gabriel Davioud, architect and a close associate of Baron Haussmann, when he decided to settle in Houlgate where he was elected mayor in 1868. Among other works, the Parisians owe Davioud the 2 theaters of the Place du Chatelet, the Palais du Trocadéro, gardens of the Champs Elysées and the Fontaine Saint-Michel.

The most noticeable decorative features of villa La Brise are its 2 facades, fully covered in faience tiles, unique in Houlgate and Normandy.

The villa was bought in 2010 by its current owners, Karine and Fred, who had to complete 2 years of renovations before making it habitable.

Built on a 3500 sqm garden, it provides a sea view over Houlgate, and up to the estuary of the Seine, Le Havre, Sainte-Adresse, and Cap de la Hève.
The car park can accommodate 3-4 cars and you enter the Villa by the lower ground floor, which offers a large cloakroom, a playroom for children with TV / DVD player, and a laundry room.

You can also enter the house through the outside stairs and the brick porch, which gives access to the main entrance, a double living room (with TV area that can be closed), and a large kitchen - dining room that can accommodate up to 14 people on its 3m long oak table, as well as a large terrace.

Your arrival
You will be welcomed by our housekeeper and can immediately enjoy the house, the beds will have already been made, and all the linen provided and installed.
Depending on the season and time of arrival, you will enjoy an aperitif on the terrace, around a chimney fire (beware of the smoke on mild or windy days) or behind the cooking range to treat your family or your friends.
